REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: AIRBAG SYSTEM: DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM (2008 Sequoia) .

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected INTRODUCTION: REPAIR INSTRUCTION: INITIALIZATION (2008 Sequoia) .

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

5. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

7. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 screws.

(b) Disconnect the connector and disengage the clip and remove the combination meter assembly.
